I used to want to avoid conflicts. I thought they meant trouble, pain, or failure. Today, I know: conflicts aren’t the problem. What matters is how we handle them.
Conflicts show us what’s important to us. They can hurt, but they can also connect, create clarity, and open up new possibilities. That’s where I support people.
I’m Lena Bäunker, a certified mediator.
My work is built on three pillars:
I was trained according to the standards of the German Federal Association for Mediation (Bundesverband Mediation), working with a structured process and proven methods.
I’ve lived abroad for years and work with people from diverse backgrounds. I studied intercultural and political communication in Rotterdam and Amsterdam and speak German, English, and Dutch. I’m currently learning Turkish. These experiences help me see where perspectives clash and how to bridge them.
Beyond mediation, I work as a journalist. I’m skilled at analyzing complex situations, organizing them, and making them understandable—skills I bring into every mediation.
